I finished a painting/collage I've been working on for a little while called, "The Boat". It is for my brother-in-law BJ, was is a big boater up in Seattle. This is his boat with a bunch of old nautical photos and diagrams formatted behind it.

Here's how I get started. I cut up a bunch of old pictures and diagrams I collected and arrange them in an appealing way. |
Paste them with Elmer's. |
Sketch out the painting. |
Paint it, starting with the ocean then the major parts of the boat. |
Fianlly, I add some details and then Bj and Emily in the boat. |
