Alli was out of town last week, and I was able to do a few things that I normally wouldn't do if Alli was around. One of those things is drive to Westalke (about 30 minutes from where we live) and spend about 3 hours taking pictures in the 100 degree heat. I passed by these buildings one day and recognized them to be designed by Ricardo Legorreta, who I studied a little bit at Texas A&M. His use of Light, Scale, and Color is truly awesome to view in person. I think his buildings are the architectural equivalent of Mark Rothko's paintings. Big and colorful which produces a sense of worship inside of me. These are the first section of buildings I visited.
